Software Engineer I (August 2003-May 2004)
- Former member of an elite Qwest IT Training & Development Program that received training in .NET solution development aimed toward generating MCSD.NET-certified developers. Program was coupled with rotating job locations, relevant skills, exposing candidates to all of Qwest IT, until it was disbanded amid budget concerns.
- Involved in every stage of the 9-month complete overhaul, redesign and implementation of the customer-facing account management portal on the telecom’s website from project conception to release.
- Website utilizes Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 as a base framework. Custom SharePoint webparts were developed to handle business logic and present customer specific data to end users.
- Worked on the content management and some security and caching elements of the portal. Also coded many of the webparts that appear in the production application. Managed part of the workflow of integrating code from our diverse application teams into the test environments. In addition worked as an Application Team Liaison ensuring the productivity and handling the framework-related concerns of the largest application team.
INROADS Intern (May-August 2001 & 2002)
- Created and maintained several interdependent Access Databases for tracking job completions of field technicians.
- Created, developed, automated and streamlined process of inputting information into Access databases using Excel macros obtaining data from company intranet, email, and proprietary sources. Additionally, developed and documented processes for creation of daily and monthly reports of vital statistics for region’s network operations

- The primary function of the New Media Center was to aid college professors in the preparation and development of new media instruction materials for the classroom. To that end I worked with and explained functionality of software programs from Adobe, Apple, Microsoft, Macromedia and others. Also worked with and instructed others in the use of a wide variety of multimedia equipment including a QuickTime VR rig, digital cameras, scanners, projectors, sound encoding equipment, and video-editing stations.
